Making unique chess sets by hand is my hobby. Thanks for being part of it!

​​WattosChessSets all started with two Pokemon sets that I made for my kids as Christmas gifts when they were about 6 year olds. They loved the sets but the pieces were not magnetic and fell over sometimes. So I made new sets with magnetic bases. I put the original sets on E-bay and they sold really quickly. This let me know that people valued my work... ​
​It was very cool to come home from work one day to find the kids just having a game on their bedroom floor - with an awesome chess set that i made myself. This inspired me to begin making more sets in my spare time.

My kids love their sets and still play with them a lot.

I build all the sets myself by hand. Each set takes about an hour to build and package or shipment, with the most time being spent drilling holes in the wooden chess pieces and the plastic characters into which i glue a steel rod to firmly hold each piece together.

Some sets are more art than game, but all are intended to be practical and are designed with the player (future champion) in mind.

I discovered Etsy and began selling 2020. Etsy is where I built the WattosChessSets ‘brand’. I think the Etsy community is great and the response to my chess sets has been amazing. Thanks so much to all who have purchased, favoured, viewed and commented on my work!

I have made over 1,000 sets and love sharing my hobby with people all over the world.
